My journey into becoming the healthiest version of myself began many years ago. Through my childhood, I was very sedentary and not active. For the first time as an adult, I didn't feel healthy, so I set out on a journey to feel better about myself. This journey included adjusting my nutrition and adding in exercise. With my hard work I lost a significant amount of weight but more importantly gained my confidence back! I even took up competitive powerlifting and set State records in Florida. Although no longer competing, I have not lost my drive for weight lifting and my love of physical adventures.
Fast forward to present day and I cannot imagine my keeping up with my daughter feeling as unhealthy as I did before. Now, I am staying healthy as an example to her! Clean eating and movement are the pillars for being strong for my family.
Six weeks after having my daughter, I was told by my midwife that I was cleared for exercise. My daughter's birth resulted in a c-section so I asked myself "Where do I begin?". Even with my coaching and training background, I did not have the proper tools to start. Through trial and error, I found what worked for me but I craved formal training. So I set out on a quest to find my answers. I obtained my Pre and Post Natal Corrective Exercise certification from Fit for Birth and began to heal myself. Now I've ignited a passion to help train other prenatal and postpartum mothers to strengthen themselves and help their recovery be smooth and fun.
